Case study · Food & Beverage
Tube and carton system for a supplement drink mix, balancing dense label rules with bold flavor color.

The problem
A full supplement facts panel on a small tube that still has to sell from a club store shelf.
The insight
Lock the regulated copy down and let flavor own everything else.
Design intent
Flavor owns the color field and a halftone fruit. The mark runs up the tube. Facts sit in one fixed panel.
The outcome
New flavors swap color and fruit without touching regulated copy. A brand book keeps every team on the same rules.
The brief
Zipfizz sells energy and hydration drink mix in single serve tubes, at Costco and other retailers. Every tube carries a full supplement facts panel and functional claims, and it still has to sell its flavor from a club store shelf.

Tube label with the supplement facts panel.
The approach
Flavor owns the color field and a halftone fruit illustration. The Zipfizz mark runs up the tube, so it reads even when the tube lies flat in the carton. Supplement facts and claims sit in a fixed panel, so new flavors swap color and fruit without touching the regulated copy.
The brand book
A brand book locks the logo, color, type, photography and graphic elements, so every team that touches Zipfizz builds from the same rules.
